Net Retriever™ has developed several interfaces to many PBX/Key Station models to handle bi-directional communications
between the PMS and PBX. The NR-PBX module can automatically enable and disable pones at guests check-in and check-out as well as setting the name display
for each guest extension. This module can also handle codes sent through the phone system by the house keeping staff to automatically change the room status
in the (supported) PMS.
Another area that is very important to any hospitality site is: call accounting. The call data records
(CDR) provided from the telephone system are collected and processed through a sophisticated call costing engine that correctly calculates the carrier rates
and applies the charges directly to the guest folio.
Reports can be printed from the PMS at check-out time with the other guest services, or with our separate
report generation package. The report creation software is also handy for night auditing totals and other customised reports a site might need.
If a site already has a call accounting package (that they are happy with), there are a number of options available to
them. They can leave their current software in place if it already interfaces to the PMS and just use the NR-PBX module to handle the bi-directional
communication with the PBX/Key station (where possible). If it does not interface to the PMS they can replace it with ours OR contact us to write an
interface for their software. Net Retriever™ is very flexible!
Please feel free to contact us to discuss your interfacing needs.
See also the NR-VoIP module for information about interfacing with the new
IP-PBX systems.
