The NR-VMS module has been designed to work with voice mail systems that require an interface to the PMS. Although, voice mail is a common facility in many hospitality sites, the integration with a PMS is not often done - perhaps because it is a value adding service rather then a revenue-generating guest service?

Whatever the reason, it is imperative that all voice mail messages are cleared before the next guest checks-in to avoid confusion and a potential lawsuit. The main problem with many voice mail systems is that it usually relies on reception staff to manually clear mail boxes between guests.

With the NR-VMS module monitoring all check-ins and check-outs from the PMS, the voice-mailboxes can be created and deleted automatically. This functionality can also be coupled with “wake-up” calls and guest messages from reception being set and monitored via Net Retriever™ and (compatible) VMS.
